Dr. Brendan Brady
Dr. Brendan Brady is the Neuroimaging Research Associate for the Clinical Research Team at the Atlas Institute for Veterans and Families. Brendan holds a PhD in Medical Physics from Dalhousie University, where his research centered on developing advanced algorithms to investigate age-related changes in human sensorimotor brain activity. Following his PhD, Brendan completed an industrial postdoc, contributing to the development of machine learning-based CPAP therapy for sleep apnea. At the Atlas Institute, Brendan leverages neuroimaging techniques to investigate brain regions and networks implicated in PTSD and other psychiatric disorders. His current work focuses on neurofeedback, aiming to develop and refine therapeutic interventions. With a personal connection to PTSD through his family, Brendan is dedicated to applying his expertise in neuroimaging and data science to advance our understanding of trauma-related psychiatric conditions and to support the development of innovative therapies that improve mental health outcomes.
