
Dr. Frank Scharnowski
Professor Frank Scharnowski is a leading expert in the field of neurofeedback working at the University of Vienna within the Department of Psychology. Frank truly believes in interdisciplinary research. He studied Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science, Mathematics & Computer Science, Cognitive Neuroscience as well as Psychology, and worked at Life Science, Bioengineering, Medical and Psychological Faculties. He develops new methods to better understand psychological and neuroscientific phenomena (perception, attention, memory, emotion, reward). Current methods include brain imaging, neurofeedback, computational modelling, TMS and psychophysics. One of his key goals is to translate these new methods and insights into experimental therapies for burdening psychiatric (addiction, depression, anxiety, PTSD, phobias, Alzheimer’s) and neurological (stroke, neglect, blindsight) disorders.
