Jill Horning

Jill Horning is the Clinical Research Coordinator for the Clinical Research Team at the Atlas Institute for Veterans and Families. With a strong interdisciplinary education in psychology, bioethics, and health studies, Jill has a versatile skill set that enables her to approach complex challenges with a well-rounded perspective. Jill received her Masters of Science in Global Health from McMaster University where she completed a thesis examining the experiences of military health care providers facing ethical challenges and moral dilemmas. She is specifically interested in the topics of moral distress and moral injury, and is committed to learning from those with lived and living experience. Jill is passionate about conducting inclusive and trauma-informed mental health research that is collaboratively created and conducted alongside the community. Her goal is to contribute to research that will help inform the development of holistic and comprehensive support systems for vulnerable populations.
